Sara completed her medical studies in 2015 in Spain, since which time she has worked in Spain and completed her training as a Specialist in Family and Community Medicine in 2020. She enjoys providing continuous care for her patients as a basis for maintaining health. She moved with her husband to New Zealand in 2021 as they both enjoy the New Zealand lifestyle in contact with nature.
Martin has been a GP for over 25 years and an urgent care doctor for more than 12 years. He has worked in Christchurch as a GP and has done many rural Canterbury GP locums but more recently, he has been working at the 24 Hour Surgery running the Acute Demand programme. He is married with two grown sons, two dogs, two cats, and six chickens. In his spare time, he enjoys playing music, reading, tramping, mountain biking, and being in the great outdoors. He is looking forward to helping people achieve their best health outcomes at Phoenix Healthcare.
Dr Eli, a beloved doctor from a humble West Coast background, is a respected figure in the local medical community known for his exceptional care and his commitment to equitable patient outcomes. His journey to becoming a medical professional has made him a symbol of possibility and perseverance.
Gen has joined the Phoenix team after many years specialising in Urgent Care, initially as a registered nurse then as a Nurse Practitioner. She has also been a PRIME emergency clinician in North Canterbury for over 10 years and continues to work in this scope of practice on a regular basis. Gen’s other clinical passions are neonatal care, wound management and disability awareness. In her spare time Gen keeps busy with two teenagers and a loveable rescue dog called Holly.
Kerry, a dedicated and compassionate practice nurse, is an integral part of Phoenix Health Hub. With her extensive experience in the field, she has honed her skills in patient care, health education, and nursing procedures. Kerry’s approachable and empathetic nature makes her a favourite among patients.
With her radiant smile, Jaimee effortlessly puts every patient at ease the moment they meet her. This coupled with her undivided attention to each individual ensures that they feel truly heard and understood in her care. Her dedication to the profession is also evident in her commitment to keeping abreast with the latest trends and developments in nursing and healthcare.
Our Practice Nurse Claire is passionate about primary/preventative health in the community & enjoy building patient-therapeutic relationships across the lifespan. In her spare time she enjoys exploring walking trails, starting a new craft project or looking after her pet leopard gecko! She has been an integral part of the awesome team at Phoenix Health Hub, where she also supports the ear wax removal clinic.
Catherine has worked as a Medical Receptionist for nearly 16 years. She is very happy to be part of the innovative and friendly team at Phoenix Health Hub, where she has been a valued member for a long time.
Hannah has extensive experience having worked in the UK as a medical receptionist for two years. She is thrilled to be in New Zealand and has been a committed member of the Phoenix Health Hub team for quite some time.
Karen emigrated to New Zealand from the UK in 2006, having been a Registered Nurse since leaving school many years ago. She began her occupational health career in 1999 and still enjoys this specialty, helping to ensure or improve the health of individuals in a variety of workplaces. As the Occupational Health Nurse Manager, she is responsible for the management and specialist clinical care and nursing practices in the unit. Outside of work, she enjoys golf, planning her next travel adventure, and catching up with her sons and grandson.
Rosa has extensive experience and expertise in workplace health and safety. She excels in developing and implementing comprehensive occupational health programs tailored to diverse workplace environments.
Ruth commenced Occupational Health Nursing around 2002, after working in a variety of health settings as a registered nurse. She attained a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from Massey University and has worked alongside a variety of firms from office to industrial company settings. She has a genuine interest in people and what they do for employment. Ruth’s pastime interests are tramping, jogging, gardening, reading and craft.
With over 15 years of experience working in the health sector including time training as an osteopath my entrepreneurial flare has been central to the growth of Phoenix Healthcare Group. I enjoy spending time at the gym to stay in shape and visiting new places in New Zealand and around the globe. I love business and new ideas on how to improve people’s quality of life.
